I wasn't around on ATRL when Blackout was released so I can only at all the BEYONCE threads. Both are great albums that will definitely be a standout in both careers though.

Beyonce, it was such a bland album, she's done far better but like most of what she puts out it managed to blown out of proportion.

Blackout is actually VERY underrated among the GP.

with Beyonce its the package, that makes it so great: I mean the album was fantastic, surely not the greatest thing happening to human beings, but very well-produced, new-sounding songs with great influences from 90 urban music to very modern beats. This accompanied by the incredible way it was released (and some of the haters can say what they want: Being on the level of stardom Beyonce was and still managing to shoot 17 videos and recording 14 songs to it without anyone leaking or noticing anything is an INCREDIBLE achievement in our generation) made it this uber-album which some of u still cant deal with.

Blackout I feel is pretty underrated in the GP, a bit overrated in here. I always thought its a cool album which unfortunately was overshadowed by Britneys not-well-being. The sound was pretty progressive and I bet if she'd release something like this nowadays, it would be more successful.

3.5 million when Blackout was released is rather poor... BEYONCE's 3 million is not something to be at all ashamed of in 2013-2014. Y'all can't just compare album sales like that.

That being said, I love Blackout more than BEYONCE, and I feel like Blackout is under appreciated critically and commercially (it just hit platinum a couple of years ago). BEYONCE is her best album, a title it shares with B'Day and Sasha Fiercw imho, but it's not the 2nd Coming. That's not to say it wasn't revolutionary and had crazy impact, because it was and it did.

So, yeah, I say BEYONCE is more overrated.

But Beyoncé is actually highly rated outside of ATRL. Critics absolutely loved it.
Blackout's acclaim is just an ATRL-myth like a lot of things surrouding Britney. It was critically panned and it's really not that good, especially compared to BEYONCÉ (the best album of all time).

Plenty of albums get a 61 on metacritic.

Im talking about the album as a whole though.

And were comparing Blackout to Beyonce though not any other album (61 v 86)
