DJs in four big markets (three of the same from last time) not here for "Legendary Lovers" at this week's music meetings.
It's a good thing they were played three songs.
Are you kidding me? C'mon, it just screams fall smash to me.
You said "three of the same from last time" - does that refer to when they decided This Is How We Do would be the fifth single? If so, well...we're currently watching how that turning out (not terrible, but not amazing either), so perhaps their opinions should not be as trusted as they were last time.
Finally heard TIHWD on the radio.
Radio Disney tho.

How is 40M AI not terrible for a Katy Perry single?

No, I'm referring to when they said not to release "This Is How We Do."

It's weak in airplay, I'll give you that, but it's streaming is surprisingly high for how it's doing. Birthday was exactly the opposite. Since many here say it didn't do terrible - which it didn't - I think it's fair to say the same about This Is How We Do.

Oh ****. So they voted against it, and now they're keeping their word and paying it dust. Well then...I guess there goes my hope for Legendary Lovers.

Aw, I was rooting for LL. Looks like that definitely isn't going to happen now.

But it did.
80M AI (?) and barely 600K copies sold is definitely a flop underperformance.
And we really can't compare streaming when Birthday has possibly one of the worst mv in recent history.
Of couse DJs would preferr WoA instead of LL to remix. The former is a dance track, catchy and the image of the clubs, but SUMMER IS OVER. I.T.S.O.V.E.R. Stop trying to make WOA happen, goldsoundz, it won't happen. Too late for that.

I never got summer vibes from WoA. It sounds more like a wintery smash to me.

ITT is coming.
I guess it just depends how you look at it. Personally, I don't think a #17 peak, 500,000+ copies sold, an overall radio peak of #13 with 84.449 million AI, and a pop radio peak of #8 with 52.775 million AI (all in the US) is terrible at all, especially considering how (arguably) poorly the video was received and how very little promotion the song was given.
Birthday always sounded like a winter song to me. WoA doesn't really seem like a seasonal song. But yes, those DJ's are idiotic for not being in love with LL. The GP is missing out on one of the best songs of her career

mess. they just want to throwback to the hey days of the 90s instead of embracing something new and innovative. Katheryn does not deserve this.

LOL. Calm down. I never said I prefer the song, but at this point, from what I'm hearing, I think it would be a bigger hit.
