The video won the 2001 MTV Video Music Award for Best R&B Video, and a Soul Train Lady of Soul Award for "Best R&B/Soul Single, Group, Band or Duo". The opening track of singer-songwriter Jill Sobule's 2004 album The Folk Years 2003-2003 is a cover of the song, and a pseudo-cover of the song also opens rapper Vanilla Ice's 2005 album Platinum Underground.
In the United Kingdom, "Survivor" debuted at number one on the singles chart and went on to sell around 290,000 copies. It also topped the singles chart in Ireland, Netherlands, and Japan. Moreover, it held the top position in the United World Tracks Chart for five weeks. It was ranked one in Canada, peaked second in New Zealand, placed in the top 5 in Australia and Germany, and reached number 12 in France.
The single reached number one on the Hot 100 Airplay chart for five consecutive weeks and peaked at number three on the Hot 100 Singles Sales chart.
Former group members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson filed a lawsuit against Knowles, Rowland, and former manager Mathew Knowles; they claimed some of the lyrics in "Survivor", such as "You thought I wouldn't sell without you/sold nine million", violated a previous agreement that prevented either party from insulting the other.
Bootylicious" debuted at number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100 on June 9, 2001 and climbed to its peak position nine weeks later, though remained on the chart for a further nineteen weeks. To date, this remains the last song by a girl group to top the U.S. charts.
In the United Kingdom, "Bootylicious" was released on July 23, 2001 and debuted and peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart behind the Atomic Kitten cover single "Eternal Flame". It sold over 169,000 copies and propelled Survivor back to the top of The UK Album Chart. And peaked top 20 in every chart world wide
The group later performed the song in front of Jackson for his thirtieth Anniversary concert, complete with their rendition of his dance moves. Before the premiere of the video on MTV's Making the Video, the girls dedicated the video to Michael Jackson
album's fourth single, the song continued the group's streak of top-ten hits in the United States, peaking at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100 on 20 November 2001. It was also a hit in the United Kingdom, where it peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart and sold over 145,000 copies, and reached the top ten in several major music markets, including New Zealand, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
8 Days of Christmas album
It was certified gold by the RIAA in December 2001 for over 500,000 copies shipped in the United States. Today, the album has sold million copies in the United States and 4.7 million copies worldwide. In 2004, a re-issued version of the album was released, containing previously unreleased records.

As of 2013 the album has sold over 15 million copies
