It's also really hilarious, because people think Katy actually has control.

She claimed she wanted to do a dark era, she claimed she wanted to do acoustic songs, and she claimed she wanted to a lot 'deeper' stuff yet the result of the era was still generic Bubblegum Pop.

With the way it underperformed she won't even have as much freedom as she did with PRISM next era.

Such a mess. A controlled label puppet @ 30. The way people actually stan...

It really does suck for her because the way her label is gonna say NOPE to those songs being recorded for Album 4.

She's either gonna have to break free and become full controlling with the way next era and settle with less success, or continue being a label puppet making corny 16 year old bops @ 35.


I mean, ofcourse, PRISM was gonna not compare to TD @ all but the way it completely shelled out is such a mess. The fact they didn't see DH as a single material song is so messy.

Birthday was a good song! It had everything going for it before the release of the official MV which caused everything to come to a sudden halt.

The video was really cute the first time. I liked it.

Rewatching it afterwords tho.. Katy's Marry The Night (both good songs undeserving of their peaks with unwatchable videos after the first view). At least TIHWD got a good music video but its such an odd single choice.

Birthday really was the highlight of the era. & it's ironic how they say 'Gaga fell because she was manufactured and the minute her team left so did her success' when literally the second Katy made 1 wrong single choice her whole era fell down like dominoes.

Her label was really expecting this era to last for atleast another year. They've gone through 5 singles in 10 months.

You know the Kats will go crazy if Album 4 does ARTPOP #'s.

I think Katy can release one final single tho (like iHype. said, I dunno if they'll do a rerelease with this one).

I really don't think Legendary Lovers will be the smash everyone expects it to be despite being one of her best songs. Walking On Gods is amazing but if it was a real success it probably would have outdone itself when it was a promo single. She has great bonus tracks but I dunno if she'd ever be bold enough to release them.
