If that's the case, every Katy Perry single is iconic. The only thing memorable is the release strategy.

Single Ladies was the first viral music video and started a dance craze all over the world, even though it was just an Urban single in the states, it also sold 10 million

No. OK Go's Here It Goes Again was a viral music video back in 2006. Also, Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) selling 10 million worldwide was only claimed on Twitter.

Irreplaceable was #1 for 10 weeks and one of the most played songs on the radio ever, influencing a few copycat hits after it's release and it also sold 8 million.

Crazy in Love started a huge trend in music (the hook and beat) and was #1 for 8 weeks, it also sold over 5 million (which for a 2003 song is quite impressive).

The only song influenced by it was Amerie's 1 Thing which was a mere top 10 hit. Britney and Usher's songs in that time period had more influence on their respective genres.
