The fact is that these people had ONE job, to listen to the album and share their opinion on the music yet shockingly the ones with the lower scores barely mention the album, individual tracks, vocals, arrangement etc but instead go on & on about Gaga's desperation, Artpop, SXSW performance a.k.a it's like reading ATRL hater essays.

A review is supposed to break down a product, list the positives and negatives related to that product. These reviews are absolutely disgusting. And it's not me being a stan, I don't even like it that much or plan to buy it. But when a reviewer says he/she doesn't like it I expect to read why he doesn't like C2C, not Gaga.

Again, we will do what we think is right. We need nobody's permission to show our disdain towards professional critics being unprofessional.

Too generous. It's a 1.5-2/5 if I'm being nice. Tweeting out the good reviews of C2C and the constant harassment to buy the album is more than a bit grating.

Most of us can take negative opinions, as long as they have are thoughtful, intelligent reviews.

They have not been overwhelmingly positive...there haven't even any 4.5 or 5 star reviews. They have been split between mildly positive and mixed.

I agree that the two have little chemistry and Gaga often misses the mark vocally when trying to sound too much like a stereotypical idea of what a jazz singer should be. They don't bring very much to the songs and, in most cases, reduce their jazz quality to that of your standard easy listening track Bennett sounds like he is in cruise control with little invested soul compared to his past work. I pre-ordered this album as a jazz fan and a fan of Gaga's pre-Artpop work and was extremely disappointed.

I think what kills me is that it goes from an irrelevant publication like Tiny Mixtapes dragging her for BTW to a media source as legitimate as the LA Times.

As far as negative "reviews" go Slant is the only one that fits the mold, this is just sensationalism. Gaga better watch out she only does jazz albums after super successful pop albums since some people seem to have a problem with Cheek To Cheek coming after ARTPOP.

At least the dude recognized the vocals are great.
