It is. The original feminism movement was exactly about that. They were the ones that said female hypersexuality is objectification and degradation for the male gaze.
Sex-positive feminism does exist now but it became a thing in the 80s. And it had to for image purposes in order to shake off the prudish, undesirable, militant, "angry lesbian" stereotype stupid men labeled it as.
