She knew that
a) the paps would take pics of her just walking from the car to her door wearing it
b) the fans sites would share these pics with the fanbase
c) the fans would get the joke and appreciate it.
Im the same, I dont think the cover is helping. Plus to cover it with ukelele so soon after the song is new, when Taylor also does ukelele versions and mightve wanted to keep that option for keeping the song fresh later on.
if meghan is a fan it wouldve been better to me if she had covered an older song with a new twist; that wouldve been interesting and complimentary, not covering a brand new song repeatedly with a completely different sound kinda making it one of her own signature songs
& just because Meghan is the artist of a song you don't like and is blocking the Lord in many parts of the world doesn't give you the right to be so negative about her cover. Y'all claim you don't care about charts but you clearly do. Taylor has covered songs recurrently before so this is no different. Plus she does an awesome rendition of the song. /endrant
