I wonder how many of Gaga's fans bought this just to support and won't even listen to it a month from now..
Anyways I'm more interested in the second week drop.

Not surprised to hear his label was hoping for at least 200K. Gaga was meant to be a huge draw.

Sis... Stop.
This was back in 2011, the music sales were great that time.
And there were songs with a lot of others singers like Michael Bublé, Aretha Franklin, Mariah, Norah Jones, John Mayer, Gaga and AMY WINEHOUSE.
Obviously it sold more, because it reached a lot of others publics.

Tony's last 2 albums actually sold 202,000 and 179,000 in their opening weeks. I thought Gaga would help improve those sales, i guess not
If anyone is going to talk about illegal downloads, let's be real, tony bennet's fan base do not illegally DL. Just look at Barbara's album, it sold nearly 200k.

The initial prediction was 250-275K and it sold 260K, so no.

This is kind of a dumb thing to criticize. When you like an artist enough you feel compelled to listen and possibly even support by buying the record. Ultimately if you dont end up liking it that much than its not that big of a deal, but its pretty normal to pay attention or support a side project you wouldn't normally be interested in because an artist you like is involved with it. You're grasping for something negative to say.

I mean, hasn't Gaga "declined"? Only a transparent troll would be disappointed with these sales.

It deserves so much more. Especially seeing what Barbara debuted with, and the hype for this since it was announced, these initial numbers are just OK. Great for being a Jazz album, but not what I'd expect from a joint album between Tony (legend and larger openings) & Gaga.
With the holidays coming it should go platinum, definitely more if it's discounted. I will be playing this a lot around then. Makes me feel good. I can see others being attracted to it around that time.

Why are you not blaming Tony then? Why just Gaga? Its a duet album for Tony and Gaga.

Make up your damn mind. Is gaga over/ a flop or is she still revelant? Cause I'm pretty sure you said a few weeks ago she was over, so how can you expect her to "improve those sales", I just don't get it ?
Also you're using numbers from 3 years ago. Hello, the music market changed in 3 years, hence why in 2011 albums could easily sell 6M with a few hits and now artists with even bigger hits can barely reach the 3/4M mark.
It's a freaking jazz album. Monsters are mainly pop lovers. Not all of us bought the album. And again, maybe you should wait and see if the album has longevity. First week sales mean nothing.
