You can't say GodGa isn't a visionary still. She may be messy, incoherent, annoying, sloppy and directionless now but she still has a big vision and does more and takes more risks than all of these men.
A vision that Akon, her label and her manger took from her.
If you mean Shakira, she can sing, dance, produce, write, play multiple instruments, fluently speak 3-4 languages, etc. All while devoting her free time to building schools around South America AND landing Piqué. Can't be beat
Not only is Shakira more talented than all of these men, she's also MUCH more intelligent
It's not just about talent but also having the opportunity and ambition to get your talent in front of the world.
Duh, which is advantageous to MALES. For all we know, there are (and have been) talented females in these disciplines who were not given as much as a chance as a less talented male.
It's so telling how SYG always drags or insinuates that Katy had to suck dick and **** for her hits. This thread and line of reasoning, even if in jest, only feeds into this idea that a successful woman is usually never successful for her actual prowess and talent in her craft.
It is always tried to make seem like it is due to her simply fulfilling her traditional female duties and becoming successful as a resort of some sort of trade-off.
Rarely do we say someone on the level of Flo-Rida ****ed for hits.
A vision that Akon, her label and her manger took from her.
The BLATANT sexism.
GodGa was very involved in her career, even the facade she created for the first 2 years of her career (which she broke after firing everybody). No man can take that and the talent she still possesses away from her.

Bruno is from the exotic island of Hawaii that even has it's own alphabet
and he is of Filipino descent
and with a name like Peter...you just don't expect so much talent to come out such a little guy
v talented
It's not just about talent but also having the opportunity and ambition to get your talent in front of the world. If you look at books that's one area where women's talents can shine because they can just sit home and write. Some of the biggest properties of the last 15 years (Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, Gone Girl, Divergent, 50 Shades, etc) were created by women.
But anyway, what's this about Jason DeRulo being talented?
But only the woman who wrote the "Harry Potter" series and "Gone Girl" are the critically-acclaimed ones. The rest of them are trash. Furthermore, the woman who created the "Harry Potter" series is the only woman in that selection that is thinking like a businessman in terms of the story she wanted to create. Look at the subject matter in "Twilight," "Gone Girl," et cetera. All emotion and romance, yet no spectacle and wonder makes a writer a dull girl. Women need to think like men, to be as successful as men. Another thing that you're not supposed to say out loud.
I have to say, it's totally different behind closed doors and away from the spotlight.
This is true, but you always have to give credit for those behind the scenes since they are rarely ever.
Does anyone give credit to Dr. Luke, RedOne, and all the other males behind the scenes? People think it's all the females they listen to who write this, write that, come up with the concepts, etc. If anything, males have definitely taken a backseat, though we have seen a bit of a resurgence in the mainstream.
