Not really a receipt. Females are going to be less received and appreciated simply because they're females. If the Beatles were female, they would not be as celebrated both during their actual reign and posthumously.
Men are more talented than women. They're even more talented cooks . Probably because they've had more opportunities and are just biologically more dominant/assertive, but that's a long discussion.
But women make more interesting subjects in art, from painting to movies and everything in between.

Even Jason DeRulo and all the other male singers y'all call "boring" because they don't make single covers with cotton candy or do what they think it is to be black are more talented overall than these batch of female stars of today, particularly the pop tarts you listen to.
There's really no definitive proof that males are more talented than females or the other way around. What is true is that societal expectations of females, especially those immersed in fame, are not really centered around talent.
You can craft a successful career in multiple disciplines as a female with minimal talent as long as you meet the societal expectations, e.g. beauty.
The same is true for males, but to a lesser extent. Male talent is able to naturally be showcased to society because the inventory is less focused on harsher judgments. Though, it does help if said male is attractive.
Ugly men have a much better shot at still being successful and famous than an ugly woman, assuming both were equally talented.
