Is it getting good reviews cuz the 1st thing that came up when I googled it to listen was this review which dragged it:

Productions are the only decent thing about Kendrick Lamar, in general. He's just a second-rate Kanye West/André 3000 hybrid, but less interesting and more of a try-hard, and generally a fad. "i" is shrug-worthy.

It takes a couple of listens to like it, though. At first it sounds like a RITD-redux.

Yeah, it's really Adele-esque but it's better than any of her songs.

I think GKMC rides some of the darker, elaborate productions that Kanye has been a purveyor of in recent years, but it's mostly absent the more indulgent flourishes and probably has closer antecedents like Earl Sweatshirt or TTC.

But GKMC doesn't really sound like his other material I've heard anyway.

Kendrick Lamar is more like AZ & Nas + Cali rappers in their early days than Kanye West. I don't get that comparison.

I remember when I projected for Kendrick when GKMC was coming out, I projected 200k and people were doubting those protections lol. I'm thinking if this is a buzz single and the real single actually demonstrates his insane flow, than I predict 350k
