To be a blood, you need to be initiated. Fist was obviously initiated in prison and yeah, he hasn't been hiding it since he came out. I wanted to say it months ago but wasn't sure but the VMA's confirmed it for me. In gen. population, seems like Fist had to join a gang for insurance/to protect his ass.
This kind of thing follows one for life. You can't run from it. Hopefully, Fist can handle all the drug peddling, money laundering, & debts he and his squad are going to encounter.
