BEP > No Doubt in terms of hits, sales, touring..everything.
They had 2 HUGE hits in 2011 alone lol. Fergie is in a much better place than Gwen, by FAR.
People don't give a **** about No Doubt, but they do remember Gwen. When they performed at the Teen Choice Awards, all kids tweeted what are those grandpas doing with Gwen and when did she start a band.
And I'm not asking too much from Gwen on her first single. Just a nice, little, catchy tune. Safe, but not too safe.

Yes BEP are much more successful than No Doubt
But Gwen was more global than Fergie as a solo artist
First, who cares about "the youth". There will always be 10 year olds who have barely been exposed to pop culture and don't know a lot of things, and soon enough a new batch of 10 year olds will replace those and have no idea who Katy Perry or Taylor Swift are. There is a LOT of music out there and what very young people know does not represent someone's legacy or importance. Out with this ******** that I've seen posted more and more recently trying to discredit artists.
Second, "Don't Speak", "Hey Baby", "It's My Life" are very well-known songs and highly remembered by people of all ages.
