I get that they were going for a summer smash with Settle Down though.

But yeah, P&S and Looking Hot were the clear hits from that album. SD killed all the momentum though.

I've always had a soft spot for Fergie, been bopping to The Dutchess since it came out. I listened to Gwen's 2 albums and I just don't like them as much, her songs from LAMB were pretty much overplayed here over all the years anyway. I still like her & ND's stuff but everything about Fergie is just better to me. A Little Party alone (a Top 10 here in Germany with no promo apart of the film btw)>>>>>

Ryan Tedder is a mediocre songwriter ("Halo", "Love Runs Out", "Counting Stars") who has never come close to creating songs with the quality of Gwen's best work ("Don't Speak", "Simple Kind of Life", "Cool"). Ryan's songs are fit for radio, the lyrics are cute and flow well but they never feel like they are coming from an artist with something truly personal or nuanced to say.
