Half of Salute is better than any Girls Aloud song. Maybe if Girls Aloud actually had decent singers like Little Mix they'd be more compelling.
Really, aside from Nicola, Girls Aloud was essentially a vacuum of personality.
Salute is a cute album, but Little Mix's debut is so awful I won't forgive them for at least another 4 years. I'm not responding to the cheap vocal shade.
Nicola is easily the most bland and boring member tho, once she uses her "bullied ginger" schtick once you've seen it all.
I love Nicola and all but let's be real here before Out Of Control, Nicola hung off the end of the other four like a paralysed limb
Check your able-bodied privilege. She's a flawless paralyzed limb on an otherwise grotesque, mutilated body. It's all relative.

I agree their first album was pretty bad. Aside from "DNA" it was pretty worthless and sounded pretty rushed. But Salute >
And Nicola's album didn't really even utilize that schtick at all. Like, Beat of My Drum alone is so triumphant and powerful. It didn't sound like the work of a redheaded Taylor Swift at all.
You got me feening and you got me feeling weak
Listen as I speak cos I'm careful as I creep
You got me going crazy and you know I can't sleep
No fortune your moves and you hypnotise me
You got me trembling like a little baby girl
You're so special, you're like diamonds and pearls
You got me spinning and you got me in a twirl
You're my number one baby and you come to rock my world
No one in their right mind and with an actual taste puts Little Mix above any older UK girl group when it comes to music, let alone Girls Aloud (aka the best one).
