Girls and Boys is cute and I can give Linda Perry props for making an audio orgasm (literally sounds like the stages of climax in song form) but it just can't compare to And then We Kiss!! ATWK is just so unique sounding within her discography, the use of the guitar and synthesizers is so ethereal.
These types of songs are so exclusive to one period in her career.
Touch of My Hand, Breathe on Me, The Answer, Girls and Boys, And then We Kiss... she hasn't really made songs that capture the sound / vibe of these songs since. Lyrically, maybe, there are similarities between them and songs from later on in her discography but not sonically. It's interesting because none of these songs sound dated AT ALL, she should try and revisit this sound another time.
Also, I recommend the "Descarado Soul Temptation Radio Remix" of it, easily the best fan-made remix EVER.
