Those songs were probably a big deal for putting them on the map, but TJT is really the album/era that made them superstars and without that, they would have just been another '80s band and not the legends they are today.

Joshua's Tree is indeed a masterpiece and huge but it was not their claim to fame. Whatever.
You can argue that their back catalog is given a listen to now because of that album. C'mon, Braz. You know exactly what I mean. It's like saying that "Pon De Replay" was Rihanna's claim to fame when it was really "Umbrella" that set the blueprint for her status. TJT is by far their claim to fame.
