I can't see Taylor ever going into hibernation. Like. She's the only solo act under 30 who's headlining stadiums. Her career trajectory is stadiums stadiums stadiums.
If She takes an extended break or decides to tone down Her career, She risks losing the stadiums... and the value of being able to headline stadiums should not be underrated. That's why I've always accepted Her pop route; the hits She's scoring off of Red and 1989 (as well as older hits) are the reason She could still be a touring force at Madonna's age. For Her to jeopardize the possibility of that future wouldn't be smart... in terms of Her career or business.
Unless Her plan is actually to "take Her money and Her dignity and get the Hell out" once She's had enough. But I don't see Her going there...

I definitely don't think she'll be taking any extended breaks The most I can see her taking off is maybe 3-4 years after an album release. I think out of all the pop girls she has the best chance at a career lasting as long as Madonna. Even if she isn't always as popular as she is now.
Swift's "Shake" slips 1-2 after two weeks at the summit. The song drops 1-2 on Digital Songs (281,000, down 21 percent). Still, it passes a million in sales, having moved 1.18 million in its first three weeks. "Shake" falls 4-6 on Streaming Songs (7 million, down 20 percent) and holds at No. 7 on Radio Songs with a 16 percent surge to 102 million.

Yes. It's probably going downhill on the Streaming chart from now on unless they put it on streaming services or we have a viral video with Shake It Off in it.

They won't put it on streaming services and there will not be one viral video with SIO in it.
Sigh, how I wish she never wrote that WSJ article
It'll backfire her if they suddenly put the song in streaming services to help the song on the charts

I could see her taking a step back from the industry and maybe just focusing on songwriting when she settles down and has kids but we're probably talking 5-10 years at least especially since she's focused on being with Karlie single right now.
As a bonus track on her new album, 1989, Swift co-wrote a song with Jack Antonoff of fun., who happens to be her pal Lena Dunham's boyfriend. It's called "You Are Love," and Antonoff describes it as having "a very 'Secret Garden' Springsteen vibe." According to Dunham: "Jack and I have a lot of existential and political issues with marriage. But if we ever do get married, there's no ****ing way Taylor is not playing that song."
There's a song on the new album called "Wildest Dreams," in which Swift takes a fatalist view of romance. "I think the way I used to approach relationships was very idealistic," she says. "I used to go into them thinking, 'Maybe this is the one — we'll get married and have a family, this could be forever.' Whereas now I go in thinking, 'How long do we have on the clock — before something comes along and puts a wrench in it, or your publicist calls and says this isn't a good idea?'"
