“I talked to Taylor actually about this on the set that day,” Blake says. “And she said… she goes, ‘Man, I made the record. I listened to it. Why can’t I just call it what it is?’”

Blake adds he doesn’t “care what you call it” as long as it’s good music.

“If anybody can do it, it’s Taylor,” he says. “Why the hell wouldn’t she do it? It sounds pop. We all know it sounds pop. And she knows it, and it’s awesome. It’s incredible.”

I love the way this "Pop" record comes across She doesn't sound like she's ditching Country Music, she just sounds like this album will be pop. For all we know her next album could be fully country, or rock, or whatever she wants really

Yup, that's what I understood from what he was implying on that interview.
I don't mind her ditching country for this album cause I love multi-genre Taylor.
And she can always make country music again, no one's going to stop her.
