People act like Katy's and the dancers actions are so excusable when they're not. It doesn't matter if the dancers have known Katy for 2 1/2 years or not. When you sign a contract, you are bound by obligation to fulfill your signed agreement. Katy should've known better than to interfere with Taylor's dancers.

Tay is gonna regret ever going pop. I see bad press and a panned album in her future.
So classless and unprofessional for her to drag Katy publicly for buzz. If you have an issue, solve it quietly away from the media. That's how a real grown woman who isn't seeking attention would do it.

The more I read the replies in this thread, the more I see both sides of the coin. While it is a lil' much to feel betrayed and hurt because you lost dancers, Katy could have hired different dancers and/or told her dancers they could wait to finish Taylor's tour and then come onto her own. The thing about tours is that they're incredibly choreographed, so losing dancers in the middle of a tour can cause a lot of headaches. Losing even one dancer can ruin an entire choreographed routine and hiring new dancers means they have to be taught an entire show in a very short amount of time.
This was mentioned as well, but Katy had to have bought her dancers out of their contracts, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to leave the tour without getting into trouble. This is where Katy was being shady. She knew what she was doing when she bought them out of their contracts and she knew how difficult it would be to replace them. But also, the dancers are to blame. It's incredibly unprofessional to leave in the middle of a tour like that. They know as much as the popstars know that it's difficult when a dancer leaves or has to be replaced.
All in all, it's just a messy, petty, immature thing. I'll probably bop to the song, though.

Katy just simply asked them if they'd like to join her.
They said yes. They weren't forced to. Don't know where this own concept of ownership came from.
Queen Katy remains unbothered over some irrelevant diss track.

!!! All of this! Like the way she said it, 'we're total enemies' 'she totally tried to sabotage my tour' 'she hired a bunch of people from me'
Like, this is about 3 dancers.
Not that Taylor's the one choreographing or teaching the dance moves herself. It doesn't affect her in a practical way AT ALL. SO petty.
The exaggerations SPEAK for THEMSELVES. She even had to mention in the first place that it wasn't about a guy before she even spoke about the whole situiation Transparent as **** man.

They definitely were convinced to, though. Katy not only had to buy them out of their contract, she probably offered them more money, meaning Katy went out of her way to ensure they came on tour with her, which I honestly don't blame her for since they're friends. Katy isn't squeaky clean in this situation.

Team Katy. Katy is a grown woman, and Taylor is in her mid-20's acting like a 13-year-old. Taylor needs to grow up and stop playing the victim, like so many people have already said. She is mean, spiteful, and contradicting. She does people dirty, brings the world into her private relationships and feuds for no reason, playing victim and trying to get people on her side. Never taking responsibility for anything and never showing any growth.
She shames and exploits men (Joe Jonas, Harry Styles, John Mayer, so on and so forth), has problems with other women (Katy Perry, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler), **** shames, and is just an all around embarrassing person. She talks about mean people (Mean) and haters (Shake it Off) but is a mean girl and a hater herself. I can't believe I ever used to like Taylor.

I'm pretty sure Katy knows what she was doing. It's understandable why she would want them back. She should've contacted Taylor or something, and if she did, Taylor wouldn't be feeling upset about it, right?

All Taylor needed to do was call her lawyers and use the dancers.
Doing magazine interviews and writing a song about it is overreacting.

This is basically it. She could have just been like, yo, can I have my friends back? Instead, she just took them and left Taylor and her team to have to find new dancers and teach them the choreo.

Suing the dancers would mean that she's officially launching a feud with Katy, and as you read in her interview, she says she's not looking for "conflict" or a "gossip-fest" through that song (That's what she said....), which is why she chose not to reveal the identity of the song's subject. Namedropping Katy and suing her dancers is certainly "conflict" and would create a "gossip-fest", even more than the gossip-fest going on right now.

You know that if you have an employment contract you can simply quit, right? It's not like they just disappeared one day of the tour.
It's called supply and demand, market works like that, so childish thay don't understand about business.
