Thanks though, you are right, she does sound okay. I wonder if she just has terrible stage freight or has awful anxiety when handling a stage? I notice she is much better in smaller environments.
It's only fair when the majority of Taylor songs are acoustic. I mean, when you sound that terrible ACOUSTIC
And she's said she has stage fright in videos since 2006/7.
Taylor's lower register is breathy and mostly not supported.
Katy's cover of So Far Away and I Can't Make You Love Me are better vocally than anything I've heard from Taylor. Especially the lower part in the beginning >>
Taylor is not a good vocalist but she has potential - especially if she takes vocal lessons. I don't know even know how she got to where she is with no vibrato (a necessity for any singer).
As much as I enjoy Taylor's pop songs, I think her big problem is that she's just not meant to be singing them. She sounds good now when she's sitting down with her guitar like she's truly meant to be:
skip to 5:50 for Treacherous
Contrast that to Katy who just doesn't sound good in any setting

She stopped saying that since like 2011. And obviously, no, Taylor doesn't have stage fright. She's always confident on stage even when she's messing up (probably because she doesn't realize she's messing up )

@2AM please. Both of them have unsupported, breathy lower registers, we're just discussing who has the more supported one, and obviously Taylor does.
I mean the D3s here. Katy has never reached that note, supported or not.
