Because she isn't trying to be.
I've said this a lot on ATRL. Pink is just this normal, down-to-earth chick who happens to be a pop star for a living. She's a pop star by career and not by character. If you saw her at the grocery store, you'd be like "OH MY GOD YOU'RE PINK!" and she'd be like "haha yeah man, what's up?" and then you'd just stand there and have a conversation about her kid. Whereas other pop stars would send someone else to do their grocery shopping, or they'd be surrounded by like 4 giant bodyguards.
She's way too humble and gracious for her own good. She has absolutely NO ego or attitude. She's the anti-diva. And people like Madonna are renowned for having a bit of an ego, and being a diva. It's what makes them a next-level celebrity and pop culture icon. Pink is just that really cool, friendly girl. She's the anti-pop star.

I suggest M!ss and Try This to you aswell. Her trademark is her pop/rock sound and aerial performances imo

The three artists in my siggy ARE the supreme. And I have no problem admitting that as of lately P!nk has outsold 2/3 of them. I'm secure in the status they have all built and earned. I will not discredit another artist simply because I'm not a fan of them. P!nk has memorable songs and hits. And despite her single chart run (I'm not familiar with) I know she has a big enough fanbase that goes out and buys her albums and concert tickets. When it comes down to it, singles and charts won't define an artist. The artist will. And P!nk has done more for her name to garner respect and admiration from many whether you choose to recognize it. This forum definitely likes to pretend she doesn't exists.
Hell, I'm pretty sure if she was more out there as a celebrity more people would bandwagon her.

She isn't pop-pop though. MTV says it's hard to put her in a category.
And why can't we try it with the Grammy performance? People remember MJ for his moonwalk, Madonna for her corn bras, etc. Fact is in recent years P!nk is the ONLY ONE with a memorable performance --when compared with her peers/counterparts.

Her hits don't inspire discussion coz they are not Anaconda type of hits.
They do inspire discussion for serious issues, Stupid Girls inspired discussion, Dear Mr President inspired discussion without even being a single - I can't @ yall denying her whole carreer like she has been some flop one hit wonder all these years that nobody cares for.
Her persona is not HER JOB, music is.
She gets covered by many artists, she is one of the most covered on singing competitions.
She was Adele's inspiration to start singing.
I can give you the awards part though, she gives them their best performances every time, they give her DUST but that's not her fault.

She has experimented more with her first 3 albums than any of the pop girls do now.
Gaga has been making dance music for her albums why don't i see this in her threads?
Her trademark is her genre of music and her aerial performances.

I actually stan for her and know all of her discography, I just meant that she's never brought anything to the table besides great songs, her pop-rock style was already heard many times when she adopted it, same for her electro-pop of TTAL, she's always worked with producers that have done the same things for years.

Neither is Bey but people keep trying to throw that title at her. And for the record, I don't care about the QoP title. To me it's pointless and holds no merit since ALL the major pop girls, aside from P!nk have been called the QoP. I'm just wondering, giving her statistics, why she has been thrown in the ring for this over used and abused title.
My whole point it, she has everything the other girls have. Whether she flaunts her celebrity or not shouldn't matter.
