And I don't look for your car
I don't wonder where you are
I don't dream about you
Cause I don't NEED YOU NOW
You know when I first saw this song title, I thought "omg can this be just as good as Lady Antebellum's song? Will it be the same subject matter?" The one thing I always like about Taylor's songs is you never know how she ends up using the song title in the song. Just like with the song "Never Mind." She's so clever and crafty with articulating her words. Then when I hear the songs for the first time I just get goosebumps.

Come on baby with me, we're gonna fly away from here
Out of this curtained room in this hospital grey, we'll just disappear
Come on baby with me, we're gonna fly away from here
You were my best four years
What if I'm standing in your closet trying to talk to you?
What if I kept the hand-me-downs you won't grow into?
And what if I really thought some miracle would see us through?
What if the miracle was even getting one moment with you?
I mistakenly heard Ronan and now I want to cry.

It's alright, just wait and see
Your string of lights is still bright to me
Oh, who you are is not where you've been.
You're still an innocent,
Love listening to this song after a night of ******ry on Grindr. It makes me reassured that im not burning in the pits of hell.

You probably discussed this a few days ago but if not...
CMT compiled an all time top 40 most influential Musical act as voted by the Country Music stars themselves. In the CMT Artists Choice Top 40, Taylor was 16.
Quote:
George Strait, Hunter Hayes, Cole Swindell, the Oak Ridge Boys and Big & Rich were just some of the artists who cited Swift as an iconic singer, songwriter and role model.
Many of the country stars praised Swift for her abilities as a live performer.
"My God, she's huge now," said Strait, who had Swift on his tour as an opening act in 2007. "Nobody really knew who Taylor was at that time, and it was me and her and Ronnie Milsap. It was a great package. I don't know how many people she played for before then, but it was a little different for her, especially going with the round stage because it's a little different anyway. But, man, she took to it like a duck to water. I mean, it was just a couple of nights before she had it down, and she's a great entertainer. I love Taylor."
"She always has such an intense production," Hayes agreed. "Just an emotional, moving sort of extension of the music. The songs already mean so much. She's a writer from such a real place, things you can really relate to ... the kind of songs you can flip on and immediately connect with. But it's where she takes it live that's another step beyond. It's one of the most entertaining shows I've ever seen. She always gives 110 percent, you know? One hundred percent is not enough."
Swindell said Swift is an inspiration for musicians who are just starting out.
Speaking from a slightly more experienced point of view, the Oak Ridge Boys' Joe Bonsall had this to say:
"You've got to love Taylor Swift and what she has done," he began. "I equate her with Bruce Springsteen. I wrote a piece about her in Country Weekly magazine a while back, about an older guy's feelings for Taylor Swift. I can't identify too much with some of the songs she sings -- I'm 65 years old, for crying out loud -- but do I love her? Yes, I do. I think she's a great example for kids these days. Do I think she's gonna get bigger and bigger and bigger? I'd say the sky is the limit for Taylor."
"Let me tell you what Taylor Swift is," said Big & Rich's John Rich. "She's a kickass songwriter. That girl knows what she's doing. And whatever she does for the rest of her life, she will always be a great songwriter and have my respect."
"We've always watched her career, and it's been absolutely amazing," Big Kenny continued. "From such a young age, the talent she's possessed and the forthrightness she's gone about her whole career with, I think she's just exceptional and has been an amazing role model in our industry and in our genre. Just across the board, a total class act."

After CMA, I respect CMT more than ACM, maybe I just don't understand ACM?
But I think country music industry still have very smart people.

Thanks, I didn't read this. I think it's the pizza party in Taylor's NYC apartment which some people mentioned here, but this is detailed. Thanks again!

When Scott says things like "You guys don't even know what's coming." " I can't help but get even more excited The way they talk about it, it honestly feels like it'll be more than just another album. Though idk what that could be.

Didn't one of y'all mention the possibility of 1989 having no ballads?! If so, where is this information coming from?!

Its "the project"
Also did anyone else think the vma performance was supposed to be completely different than it was but they had to change it cause all the ridiculous flack over nonexistent "appropriation" by pressed blogs?

I doubt it, every Taylor album is balanced. No difference on 1989, I think. Maybe I'm wrong? Somebody else please prove it, would love to know, thanks ahead.
