that's actually a good processor, you can run it on low for sure, maybe even medium.
about the x64, it's better but it doesn't make a difference 'cause this game was build in x32 (which is also supported by your processor so don't worry).
You gave me so hope because the Sims 2 on my laptop is a mess. I don't play it because I'm always fuming at how it works. I love it, though.
