I don't get the acclaim but it wasn't horrible. The characters were all just so dumb,

Just finsihed "In Fear" and I thought it was pretty good.
The tension was there imo but they made a mistake of not revealing the plot holes in the dislogues but discuss pointless stuff instead.

The Purge: Anarchy is so much better, they don't even feel like the same movie.

I'm sure at the time it was scary but now it's a terrible film... I saw it for the first time a year or two ago
I mean, if you've got some dollars to spare (I paid $11 ) and take a pal for some chuckles at the lameness, go for it. Netflix may be the best option for it though.

The suspense was kind of there, but ultimately it is just the pits. I dragged it before here so won't repeat myself, but knowing the "twist" within the first 10 minutes of the movie ruined it. Plus the terrible actors.
