Well yeah out of the top 15 three months later. But regardless, she has the highest selling female album to come out this year, and will still be top 5 by the end of the year (with Taylor and depending on who else releases). Not poor. Her sales say more about the climate than they do her.

"Highest selling female album to come out this year" sounds great on paper, but look deeper into it. She's had almost no competition for that title as of yet this year - what other major females have released this year? Iggy Azalea? Shakira? Not much bragging rights there.

Not to mention the fact that there are female albums released in 2013 that have almost doubled UV's 2014 sales w/ their 2014 sales alone.

Like one or two radio interviews. She's done no TV appearances. What also needs to be noted is that with BTD she was all over Europe and she's not doing any of that now.

I'm not 100% sure but I think Pure Heroine has sold a lot more than Ultraviolence in 2014.

Mess I think her team are worried they'll be another SNL type incident.

Without sounding like some crazed Gaga/Britney stan, Ultraviolence actually is a very alternative record. It's not like it's filled with Max Martin and David Guetta type songs. Her sales are fine considering the circumstances.
