This is the 1st season im watching since Series 7. The premiere wasnt as entertaining as I expected. There was way too much Cheryl ass-kissing, Simon is ... Well, Simon but the other 2 judges were made to look like seat fillers. Hopefully the rest of audition episodes arent as Cheryl-centric edited. Simon as always delivers the richest feedbacks. Louis is annoying as ever with his "thats what this show is about"
Queen saving the show and having her single rise on iTunes
What kind of 'saving' is this? I wouldn't call this 'Queen saving the show' when Simon also came back to the show. And all the high budget promo they did for the show Cheryl shouldn't have joined a sinking ship, she can't do anything to save it. But I guess she needs the show as much as the show needs her.

It had a higher share than every single episode in the last 2 years. Once the official ratings including time shift (~1M) & HD (~1.5M) are in, it will be around 12 million, which is also higher than every episode in the last 2 seasons.

Let's wait for those numbers first. And I don't know why you especially mention 'last 2 seasons'
Because it's about it's improvement relative to how it was doing immediately prior, not 10 years ago.
I remember you and some other were bashing the show hard when the show had improvement more than 300k last year but now calling Cheryl queen cause of nearly 300k improvement. And I wouldn't say this is only her success since Simon always brings good ratings when he goes back to his own shows.
