And why did AML flop so hard?
AML was released in June which (along with July and January/February) is tragic for album sales. If released in late Q3 or in Q4 it could've sold 50k+ first week providing a second single was released before the album instead of after. It didn't flop hard (35k is probably average first week sales for a #1 album in Q1 or Q2) but it could've had more longevity if the correct single choices were made and the era wasn't cut short for a flop GA reunion.
By that I meant Judges can actually put through whoever they want. Of course a lot of stuff is scripted (like when the changed the age for the Overs from 25+ to 28+ as a cover for putting Liam in 1D and said the judges came up with that idea by themselves )
It's only when you get to JH that the producers will pick the acts.

Hmm well Call my name was big and then she chose UTS () and then that was it because of the GA reunion. AML was released in June and the GA reunion started in October so the AML era only lasted like 5 months shame because the album has at least 3 solid hits.
