Take Back the Night was also a bigger hit than Partition, XO, and Pretty Hurts and has outsold them all.

Not a Bad Thing has sold +1.4m and spent about 2 months in the top 10 without a music video. If it flopped, so did Drunk in Love. The song wasn't available on iTunes let alone a single when he performed it on Fallon.

Because Beyonce doesn't release of-the-moment what's hot right now, Dr. Luke/Max Martin DJ Mustard, fist pumping, edm aiming for a hit single type of songs. It's really not that hard to comprehend.
Her albums are very successful. And her singles do fine for what they are.
