A lot of their first few albums were acclaimed like A Hard Day's Night, With the Beatles/Meet the Beatles!, and Please Please Me/Introducing...The Beatles. And those were very oriented towards getting hits. Even tho i feel bar Sgrt. Pepper's and maybe the White Album they were all made for hits.
