Nah, she never pulled in the grosses needed to earn that title. Julia Roberts did. If you adjust Pretty Woman for inflation, it made more money than 2014’s biggest hit Guardians of the Galaxy, with an R rating and without 3D or IMAX and while playing in less than half as many theaters. Add to that the smashing successes of My Best Friend’s Wedding, Notting Hill and Runaway Bride () and you can conclude that she earned that title.
