I hope Britney's team consider summer or spring releases from this point forward. BJ literally kept plummeting WW even during the Christmas boost, so I think that won't help her out anymore. In the spring/summer, she at least has more chances of a #1 debut (100K is enough for #1 on a slow week) in the US & WW and better charting positions that aren't embarrassing.

The dates are no longer the problem it's their strategies. She needs to be innovative from now on.
Multiple videos upon release, surprise performances or something completely new. The traditional release strategies no longer favor her and no performances ensure any album is dead on arrival. If she's not gonna perform on TV, do it in a studio and upload online. There are constantly new opportunities with emerging social media - why aren't her team taking advantage?
She also needs a solid theme for her album or no theme at all. Femme Fatale was a great concept until it wasn't executed in anything but Criminal. BJ was only half personal and even then it wasn't revealing anything we didn't already know about her.
The old formula no longer produces results so they need a new one. Squeezing every last sale from tired methods is hurting her star power and brand, it's time to either step up or step out completely.

A GREAT strategy for Vegas would of been selling BJ with the tickets for the show. It worked for older acts like Cher, Prince & Madonna. I know Britney isn't as long into her career as them, but it is what it is.
I actually would of loved for them to release BJ in the week of September 20 to coincide with the Vegas tickets going up for sale and Work Bitch released the week prior with the video with its intended release date. If they do something like that early next year when the new legs are up for sale, it'd be really cool (especially since it's rumored to be BJ/FF rejects, so they can put together an EP really quickly and it'd probably be good since many of her rejects are better than her actual songs).

Her team can always pay Billboard to fake them like a certain pop star does.

Just use the overall percentage for boxscores. She's currently at 99.9% attendance since December so a bad leg shouldn't affect it too badly.

In 2003, Jen and Kel received an opportunity to meet a superstar even more famous than Ariana Grande. They met Britney Spears. Wanna know how that went?
Britney invited our two girls into her dressing room at MTV’s TRL. She spent between 12 and 15 minutes with JUST THEM and her assistant Felicia. Then Britney invited my wife and me to come in as well. We all took a bunch of pictures, from any angle, while Britney chatted with the girls, looked through pics of their memorabilia, happily personally accepted a gift bag they had brought for her, answered any questions they had, gave them each a signed copy of her CD (which was released that day), and personally made sure that Jen and Kel could watch the live taping of TRL in the studio, even though they were both too young according to MTV policy. Neither Britney, or any member of her staff, ever asked to see any of the pictures we took. In fact, her security guard remained OUTSIDE the entire time we spent with her.
That is a true superstar who loves her fans.

They are claiming 2011 had lots of "A-List" celebrities and Britney had nothing to do with it... But SIX YEARS AGO, in 2008, Britney was THE ONE focus of the VMAs and basically the only A-List celebrity there and it ALSO pulled bigger numbers. I see.

But obviously, they won't be smart about anything and this supposed EP will also fade into oblivion two days after it's released.

So true. She could have earned herself a ton of sales pairing the two in every Vegas promotion but they dropped the ball yet again.

A single, video and album release in #AllEyesOnMe week would've bagged her a lot more sales. Especially since it would've been the official unveiling of the album and hype would have shot her straight to at least the top 5. A 'surprise release' if you will.
It could work next leg but I think it would still need more than just an announcement + EP release. People aren't consuming albums the same way any more, she's gonna have to perform at least once and give more than one video. It's still Adam + Larry tho so we'll just keep daydreaming.

What would y'all rather have from Brit?
A TV promo concert during release week or a visual album?

A TV promo concert. As much as I would love a Britney album full of music videos, she would be dragged for copying Beyonce. I'd be here for it if it sold more than Beyonce's visual album, and had better videos than it of course.
I just want to see Britney with some passion again. I was watching her old VMA performances last night and she was on fire. I'm obviously not expecting her to do that again, but I want her to enjoy her craft more. Basically I want an ITZ 2.0 kind of era, minus the knee injury.

Indeed. I remember back in FF days they were like "Why fixing a formula, that isn't broken?" Their formula was already broken in the FF days and it's even more outdated nowadays. But, hey, they will do it again. I don't see how they keep on thinking they can pull up the same strategies they did in 2000. It is, as you've said, just hurting her name and brand.

You don't have to actually pay. These numbers are reported by the show promoter, they can simply report them wrongly. Like, for example, say you've sold 14k out of 14k tickets, when in fact, there were 16k tickets for sale...

Anyway, I'm definitely NOT HERE for another BJ-sized mess of an EP. Until Britney steps up her game again, I won't be here for anything, though new music from her will always please me.
