Doesn't matter. The fact is that her moment brought in tons of viewers and even broke a Twitter record at the time. It was massive, and paired with other huge names like Gaga and Britney, it made the show a huge ratings draw.

The fact that this year's show even reached 8 million with such a lackluster lineup is impressive. I can't even imagine how low the ratings would have been without Beyoncé's name being attached to it.

I'm not a sad person lacking self confidence who has to get life from celebrating the decline of an awards show. My fave came out even better despite the ratings. She was praised to the heavens and her music is all over iTunes. I am actually elated. Elated to see my fave succeed once again, and elated to see her closet stans haven't lost their 100% devotion to the woman who has so much power over them.
