I like Born This Way more than most stans on here but I think another song, something more different and against the grain, would have been more fitting for an album that is celebrating uniqueness and insanity. Any song she wanted to could have been a hit, but she chose the most basic one.

Mariah got up to #4 or #3 w/ pre-orders. You can't really judged an album's performance with the way album sales for the Top 10 constantly fluctuate (one week the #2 can see 75k, the next week 30k y'know) & digital sales only make up 1/4 the total album sales.
I honestly think he'll do less than around 75k-90k, though. Hopefully I'm wrong though. R&B sales have been a mess.

Is this about BTW? The song is very much against the grain and was quite different to the popular songs being released at the time.
Born This Way is Gaga's worst song ever. The moment it was released and you realised she thought it was lead single worthy was the moment it became obvious her career was over.
The 'making of' video for this helped me appreciate this video a lot more. Like how they made the costumes and dancing not specifically connected to any time period or culture because the message of unconditional love is timeless and universal.
