Her Break Free performance was pretty bad. Couldn't hold a straight note in tune so she buttered the whole thing with melismas as a safety net... And she'd hit these climax notes at the most random times (the worst is when they're hit early on in the song) like "hey I can sing! Reminding you!". It was unmusical and meaningless to my ears. Not to mention her musical ideas whenever she decides to sway from the original melody are always the same. That in particular has bored me.
Bang Bang performance was awkward too. I don't know I just cringes a lot watching her.
I think she's trying to break free (...) but hopefully she finds herself after what seems like just experimentation and just goes natural (in the sense that she doesn't have to try so hard).
