Rant Alert!
I am not watching the VMAs. While I had basically quit watching MTV about the time I turned 15, I firmly vowed to never watch the channel again after the stunt Kanye West pulled on Taylor Swift in 2009, and the network still allowing him back on the VMAs in 2010. These actions showed me MTV had no class whatsoever. If I owned a network, and someone did something like Kanye had done, he would have been banned for life from ever receiving another invitation to any of my network's award ceremonies.
I see Taylor still perched at #1 and the #2 song getting red updates. Imagine if she'd actually put on a good performance how big her increase would've been.

I liked it, but for a big comeback performance yeah it was lacking.
