But her risky moments are in her songs. Lyrics like "she's better known for the things that she does on the mattress" and having half of your album consisting of 4:30+ songs are risky but they're not major innovations in comparison to my other two faves who literally redefined their genres of music

She's done indie, country, folk, stadium rock, rock, pop, country, bubblegum pop, country pop, bluegrass, pop rock, dubstep. Worked with multiple producers with her last album. She sent a full on bubblegum pop song to country radio as a lead single. Written/ composed / and co-produced an ENTIRE album by herself. Completely ditched her long time producer, whom she has worked with on all of her albums. She doesn't stick to the same formulas with her albums, she's always trying to reinvent her sound. If all of this doesn't scream "taking a risk", then I don't know what the **** does.
