As long as they aren't flopping into oblivion, then keep the era going until the 6th-8th single. It ensures sales longevity, more exposure, more memorability/iconography, and a bunch of other good stuff.
That's kinda why I want "Double Rainbow" to be the 6th single. I feel it's commercial enough to become a moderate top 20 hit, and it's music video/promo performances would probably be visually stunning. Plus, it fits the Winter season more so than "Legendary Lovers", which I feel should be the 7th and final single during the Spring, when the weather warms up.

Winter begins in December 21th, This Is How We Do would've peaked way before that. Legendary Lovers should be the next single (November-January), followed by Walking On Air for spring 2015.

Katy Perry definately deserves to play! She's the most popular artist of the 3 with the biggest songs (Roar, Dark Horse, Birthday, This is how we do... U should know 'em) She also has the best stage presence & knows how to put on an incredible show!

Yesterday at our school's pep rally, they played Walking On Air to get the crowd all pumped up as we walked in...
... but where was TIHWD?

Well, I didn't mean "Double Rainbow" necessarily had to be released the day Winter started. I meant that usually around the Winter, more slower love songs (like the type AC radio adore) do well on the charts, and since "Double Rainbow" is catchy enough imo, it should do well around that time. Like, if "This Is How We Do" peaks in late September, and "Double Rainbow" is released in mid-October, it would peak around December/January.
Then, she should release "Legendary Lovers" in time for the Grammys, and release a fun colorful video. Finish the Prismatic tour in March, and then rest til 2016.

Has anyone heard the remix on radio? It's 5th most downloaded track on AllAccess Top 40.

Listen. We should chill a bit. Just because the female MJ hasn't served us a real flop yet, after "thinking of you", that doesn't mean that when TIHWD flops, we are going to drag her. Just chill. TIHWD won't enter the top40 without a live performance and that's sad. It's the real and the only flop this era. PRISM is 35th on worldwide iTunes and sells 20,000 copies WW every week and she's on a very successful tour. TIHWD was a wrong single choice. But let's move on. Katy will learn that the GP doesn't want this TIHWD kind of singles. Katycats will learn that success isn't always served. Katy should focus on promoting her album and tour. And when October comes, should release the sixth single, walking on air or legendary lovers. AMAs and EMAs will give the essential boost. Then, Katy should release the seventh and last single in January. Grammys and Brits will give the boost to the last single. Finally, let's face it and understand it. Uncle, Birthday and TIHWD are the only "things" that other stanbases can depend on. Uncle and Birthday didn't flop. TIHWD will flop. But it's just one flop of this biggest female album of 2013 and 2014 with these two monster hits, Roar and DH. Monsters etc will do and find anything to discriminate Katy's recent success.

I couldn't get to my phone earlier but I heard WoA on z100 over an hour ago. Was this just some show or did they not get the memo?

Didn't read the essays but I agree that WoA should have been the single. It's better to flop with dignity.
