Jake, what do mean by this? As far as making friends across variety of ethnicities, I believe that will come with her move to NYC. She was in a Music Genre that everyone is Lily white .
What I find interesting that no one ever questions Hip Hop, R&B and Rappers about their friendships outside their race. .
That's why I always have problems with white critics discussing cultural appropriation. They are nothing more than Cultural Tourists.
btw, I've always shipped a Taylor/Joan Smalls friendship.
