the only people that seem to be reacting badly to the song are Swifties that miss Country-Taylor, and people who are calling the video "racist".
Either way it's good that the lead single is being talked about so much, good or bad- it means more people will go and listen to it and if they like it they'll buy it. It won't matter if they hate the video or not (just look at Miley. Her videos were hated but most people thought Wrecking Ball was a good song).
But she'll come back with an even bigger hit later in the era for sure.
And of course all the grammies too 
Even like Katy, who releases horrible and not too controversial videos can get more views than her.
