The difference between Tipdrill and Anaconda is agency. She samples a song that objectifies the black female body and makes it her own. She puts her dancers on display, but she's right there with them, spreading her legs and shaking her own ass. And while Nelly is swiping cards through ass checks while his slimy friends fondle the dancer's ****, Nicki and the girls always remain in control, lambasting the male gaze. She isn't slapping Drake's hand away or chopping up a banana after deep throating it without reason.
IDK why some aren't getting this.

This isn't "My Neck, My Back," not when the chorus Nicki samples from BGB is about what type of ass is pleasing to Sir Mix a Lot's dick. What do you think people are going to remember, Nicki slapping Drake's hand away or Nicki on her knees crawling and giving Drake a lap dance? You say that she's lambasting the male gaze. Now, is that how the video is being perceived, or is the majority of the GP looking at it as raunchy T&A? i'm sure Gaga had noble intentions with the DWUW video, but those leaked clips let us know exactly how that video was gonna go over with the GP, which is why the full video never saw the light of day. It's pretty hard for people to distinguish between reality and satire when the satire looks exactly like the material the artist is supposedly lampooning.
