Perfectly capable at something and actually doing it are two completely different things though. The majority of SM's senior acts manage it fine, it's not like Taemin has an excuse to be lazy with it when he's also capable of putting full effort into his choreo AND mouthing along a few dum-dum-dums.

Feel free to quote me/name me directly next time since there's no "Y'all" making these comments, it's just me. I'm just playing though. I like Taemin, use his mini and know he's a capable singer. Even still, there's no reason why someone like him can't slay the choreo and at least try to look like he's actually singing. SM idols especially should have plenty of experience in that department.

Idk, I don't think it matters. SM aren't trying to fool anybody, they have their artists lipsync consciously. I'd rather see him dance all out and not be held back by pretending to sing.

And if you must know it's actually more difficult to dance holding a microphone. You have to mentally rearrange all the choreo to be one-handed and it throws of the balance of certain moves. I've had to do it a handful of times and I hate it.

Until you're in the position of having to do that, it's really not fair to judge. It takes one thing to throw someone off, so he's going around the performance in his own comfortable way. As said previous, it's silly to have something so small be a reason so discredit someones talents, when Taemin has shown several times he's super talented at what he does with SHINee.

I dunno. I understand where you're coming from but I feel like giving them microphones for the performance was a conscious move to make it seem more live. There's a general conception that headsets = lipsyncing and microphones = live vocals, so if there really was no agenda to make it seem like they were singing live and there was supposed to be more focus on the choreography then I don't see why they didn't just give them headsets to use, especially since Taemin's stages on other music shows have done that.

Even more reason to question why they were given microphones though.
