It's a good perspective, but there is another one from emotions, I would rather reserve it for her highly personal song.

Is it true that the writing credits has another version? And how many rock songs will be included in 1989?
Edit: It's reasonable for Taylor to mention pop album while promoting "Shake It Off", I think rock plays very important role here, I even expect one country song.
It's definitely fake. It had Taylor listed as the only writer for every song except for Shake It Off. I do think there will be rock influenced songs on the album, you don't need to have every song be bubblegum pop for the album to be "pop" or cohesive.
