Ariana's hardly a nobody at this point now. And the fact is that the B-listers are outperforming the A-listers (sans Taylor). Perhaps they wanted something new? But it's apparent from TIHWD, Pretty Hurts, the Beak 2 Beak era, etc. that being a-listers doesn't make you invincible like it did in 2011.
These are bad reference points. Pretty Hurts has absolutely no promo so it was obvi going to flop. As much as Gags is a FAT FLOP WHO NOBODY CARES ABOUT IN 2014, no songs from Cheek to Cheek could be a hit. Not even when she was huge, due to the songs themselves. Not her. And TIHWD is still climbing.
Using the creative and distinguished theory from the Barbz Ariana is yet to have a solo hit. "Baby I" flopped. She's yet to even have her "If Its Loving That U Want".
I want something outrageous to happen @ the VMAs. Like when Janet her nipple was shown. But just not before Beysus her tribute, I don't have time for these girls to cut the programming off early.
