Shake It Off got to #1 in the 24.0 and had its first dark red in the 0.5, making it a difference 23.5 hours between the first dark green at #1 and the first dark red update
At the next day, Problem started having non-stop dark red updates until it finally stabilized, but since it had a huge lead over Fancy, it didnt leave for a while. Same could happen here, or the song could suddenly start having more dark green updates, for all we know

I'm not in the mood to argue, and I def don't want a lot of arianators coming at me with single sales etc. because I actually like Ariana. but this was a taylor swift clock

Roar is the most impressive song on Kworb's site history. I don't remember pretty well but it stopped getting dark red updates only after 36 hours of being released

I'm gonna be so pressed if there isn't any songs like ATW on 1989. it's my absolute favorite song by her, and one of my most favorite songs ever.

Pulse's thread from Never Ever indicates that at its peak the runners-up were at 25% & 20%. So Shake it Off is less dominant over the #2, but more dominant over the #3...
Using the proportions, I come up with...534k. Of course, that would assume that Shake/Never have identical trajectories of their first day vs. the rest of their first week, and that Bass/Whistle also have identical trajectories.

Im doing my research, and it seems like the #2 digital song of the week WANEGBT got to #1 was selling 199K. As far as im concerned, All About That Bass is selling more than that, so we should take that into the equation. Either way, Shake It Off wont be touching WANEGBT´s numbers in any given week, but it will still be huge
Link to BB´s article from the week WANEGBT hit #1: http://www.billboard.com/articles/ne...t-hot-100-no-1

I took that into account. The exact # I came up was actually a calculation of various #s, but I accidentally clicked onto a link and ATRL ate my post.
It's based on how the week before the Taylor releases, Bass sold (based on Kworb) about 247k vs. Whistle's 217k, a 14% difference. But the lowest they got vs. Taylor are 34% vs. 25%, a 36% difference.

Cant stop replaying this. The verses are so much better than the hook & bridge, lyrically & sonically.
Oh btw anyone find it weird that when u search for "shake it off taylor swift" on utube, the actual vevo version is not on the first page. I had to add "vevo" to the search bar to find the video
My fav set up is the hip hop one ... For obvious reasons

A comment I saw on the video:
Quote:
"I stay out too late, got nothing in my brain. That's what people say, that's what people say. I go on too many dates, but I can't make 'em stay. At least that's what people say."
Okay, so I've never been the biggest TSwift fan, but this is the cutest and best way to deal with haters, instead of rebelling like other celebrities her age. All the while, she's making fun of herself in her own way. She's got her **** together, so all anyone can complain about is her popularity with guys. I guess she's doing something right. This song is a total win.

Basically my thoughts as well. The song is cute

The song is perfect. Ok, she's taylor swift, she used to be a country singer, more serious and blah blah blah but come on! Let her have some fun now she's young, maybe in 10 years she'll come back as a country singer. And it's not like it's bad pop or sell-out sex pop. It's funny, it's fresh, it's great..!
