i think the song is fun and cute. i can see this song being big in HS football games/pep rallies, for pom/cheerleading routines, or back-to-school target commercials or something. very flash-mobby
Every single thing Legend X said about that performance was true. They lowered her mic so she wouldn't overpower Britney's talentless lipping ass. Her Blender article is so iconic, where she tore Britney and Beyonce a new one with only the truest of facts. Funny how Legend is the only one of the 3 that is actually happy. Karma. Ha!
And let's not forget that STRIPPED sold 14 million....more than any Beyonce album BY FAR.
She was so ruthless. But she was queen during her peak, no lie about that.

What hurt Xtina was she became sl*ttier/sexual image-wise after Slave 4 U so people thought it was her copying. I think it also may have confused people that she had her ass out and wasn't all covered up in a ball gown and bun with a song like Beautiful.
She was on top with Stripped though. Dirrty was a good move, especially for the time it was released. Britney was on her break late 2002.
Hehe, I got some Gaga/Black Eyed Peas from that as well.
It's such a feel-good song and MV.

Besides Break Free, I can't think of any other videos that basically promoted doing your own thing and that music/dance is a universal language.

That's what they said about Applause and GMAYL. hehe
You just reminded me that I haven't seen the Break Free video yet.
And really it's just the last scene of the BF video that has that theme. The rest of it is just a campy mess mixed with glamour shots. I still like it though.
That other version is such garbage, though. I have no idea when anyone would bother with it when the original is already perfect.
Yeah the other version is worthless except for the fact that it gave the song more exposure. The chorus is so huge. Max Martin must be so envious after the basic chorus he delivered today. If/when it gets enough spins on Pop Radio it's going to EXPLODE.
I remember an interview where Xtina dragged Maddy & Brit after the VMAs. She really was so bitter about everything Britney did.
Beyonce was salty too. Prob. mad it overshadowed her performance because ol girl said she wouldn't do what they did because kissing girls was against her religion. Her team did a good job scrubbing those teas off the internet

Aw, it was some campy fun. Giving me a bit of Zenon with that cutie Zedd.

I don't see the difference. It's stale and unoriginal.
Kinda appreciate when Gaga did try to be different and interesting and was accepted for it. On to Rihanna now. Hopefully, she does something better with her single and video.
