Like someone else in this thread already said, VEVO views mean sh*t when every flop Shakira single gets a billion views
For songs/videos that were around before the digital era/Vevo/Streaming etc, I think it does. It shows how much the song is remembered and used by the current generation.
It's hard to believe that Slave and Dirtty were such flops tho
They both did moderate ww and are still pretty memorable, especially Dirrty. Slave (the song) isn't that memorable, but both the video and VMA performance are in pop culture.
