Why wouldn't Bey care about the charts? She's released her album and all of her videos out of nowhere using that as one of the biggest promotional tactics you could have upon release (an innovative one, sure). She's performed at the Grammys and sent multiple songs to radio in case one flops.

Her singles are underperforming but let's not. She cares about the charts just as much as ARTGa just because they say they don't doesn't mean it's true.

Just from a simple 'Rihanna controversy' Google search I found the CFDA dress, the Israel/Palestine tweet, the mosque photoshoot, the TLC mess, Coachella white powder mess, the hand tattoo Polynesia mess, the LUI topless magazine cover, Instagram deletion etc etc
