I don't think you have to be in a mood to listen to this music (I mean I just came back from some drinks downtown).
If anything, I think this music creates it's own mood, or atmosphere of you will for you.

This is very true. Theres moments where it works better than others but the album itself is still excellent and unique.

I think this is my problem with it.

I'm at the end of it now, and I didn't think it was bad. Just not anything I could see myself listening too regularly. Give Up is very good.

How is that your problem? That's how Black Water, In Case We Die and Riverie are.

The production factor always chew up these light voice artists. That's basically pbR&B.

Born to Die & certain songs on Ultraviolence are very melodic. I would recommend listening to BTD first & not judging it until you've listened 4-5 times.

And from UV, if you want melody, I would first go to: Shades of Cool, Brooklyn Baby, West Coast, Ultraviolence, Sad Girl & Florida Kilos.

I feel they complement each other, it isn't a competition. That would be Ceremonials, it was too much.

I just watched the new Godzilla and I must be a stoic bitch cause I didn't feel attached to any of those characters in the slightest. It looked really cool though and the lead guy was

The only time I did was when the guy blew up the monsters eggs and the mother monster started crying. I'm not sure if that was the purpose of that scene.....

I was offering some type of rationale to those who don't necessarily "get" her music. It's not a type of music that features infectious hooks or melodies.
